Aston Martin DB7
Specifications
“I’m sorry, but having an Aston Martin DB7 in your driveway and not driving it is a bit like having Keira Knightley in bed and sleeping on the couch.” – Jeremy Clarkson
Where many brands struggle to add prestige to their badge, Aston Martin has no problem at all. Everyone knows what it stands for, not to mention that it was co-developed by British secret agent James Bond. Aston Martin is synonymous with charismatic, stylish and fast gentleman’s Gran Turismo’s. Not a race car, but definitely sportier and more agile than its British brother Bentley.
The ultimate Gentleman Cool Classic, for sale with us! The DB7 has been an enormously important model for Aston Martin. Thanks to Ian Callum’s design, after the DB7, the Vanquish, DB9 and V8 Vantage were also tapped from the same “design barrel”. A terrific success these cars are.
Ours, of course, is special. A version of Alfred Dunhill, a beautiful British brand that sold luxury goods. Only 150 were made, and this is number 65. You’ll recognize this one by its beautiful Dunhill Grey paint, with thick Charcoal Connolly skins with recurring silver piping. The wheels are fitted with special Dunhill rims, and the hubcap is modeled after the Dunhill clock. The shape of the clock is instantly recognizable when you see it. As befits a decent English brand, they invent gadgets that make you feel like a secret agent. You don’t want an ashtray in your car and don’t like big cigars? Then this version came with a shaving kit.
It is an original Swiss van. The current owner bought the car himself on Lake Geneva and immediately tested it on the highway on the way back to the Netherlands. Perfectly maintained classic that is wonderful for touring due to its automatic transmission.
