Bentley Arnage Red Label
Specifications
– You are one ride away from a good mood. –
And nothing has been lied about that; what a feast to spoil yourself with British flair and German technique. Technique that has been revised, because the Green Label Arnage came with a 4.5 litre V8 of the BMW range. The Green Label didn’t manage to give you the feeling you had in its predecessors; an abundance of everything. The engine was a bit slow and had a lot of teething problems. In 1999 it was decided to reverse the decision already taken (BMW engines). The mighty 6.75 litres returned in the Arnage under the name ‘Red Label’. Finally the picture was right again; a lot of silky power, especially a lot of torque. 835 NM, something you only hear in the modern diesel industry.
The name ‘Green label’ and ‘Red label’ are actually reversed in the Wiskey world. At Johnny Walker the ‘Red label’ stands for the standard blend, where the ‘Green label’ is a single malt. Our Arnage, as we speak in wiskey terms, is a non-chil filtered single malt!
Our Bentley Arnage is from the first owner and has only driven 27 thousand kilometers in the last 20 years. On 3 January 2000 the Arnage was delivered new to Tamsen, Rolls Royce and Bentley dealer in Germany. It has always been maintained there and of course all this is in the booklets. Outside the service booklet, our Bentley has all the documentation you get with the car. The umbrellas in the back have never been used, as well as the new battery charger which is still in the Bentley case. This makes it a very pleasant car outside, a very good investment.
All this together with its beautiful deep dark blue color and beige leather makes it a real gentleman’s car. Subdued beauty, but enough flair to remind yourself of the fact that you drive a Bentley.
