Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine – Elvis Presley

It’s the end of the fifties, a time of great prosperity in America. Elvis shook his knees for the first time, Muhammed Ali his fists and Kennedy and Khrushchev argued over rockets. Americans loved (and still love) anything to do with ammunition, machine guns and rocket launchers. This is how the inspiration for the name of an American Legacy came about. A Corvette is a small, manoeuvrable battleship with a relatively high striking power. There, the name of a legend was born. In our opinion, there are few Americans who can match the beauty of European greats of this era such as the E-type and 190SL. The Corvette C1 however is a true beauty that can compete with the big ones.

Ours was delivered to a fifties actor: Russel Thomas with beautiful Ermine White paint with fire red leather interior. He sold it to his mother-in-law, who in turn sold it to her neighbours. Mothers-in-law… These neighbours have looked after it madly for decades, and it even won prizes! 60 years later and fully documented, and with the original ‘Cali plates’, the car is waiting for a new historian.
