Jaguar XKR Coupé
Specifications
– A Special kind of motoring which no other car in the world can offer – Jaguar.
We did it again; a real Cool Classic. A feline with lots of extra claw and growl. Namely, an XKR 100.
The XK8 is already a beautiful car but in front of you you see the XKR 100, the tip of the iceberg. Indeed, this version was released in 2001 to celebrate the 100th birthday of Sir William Lyons, better known as Mr Jaguar, even better known as the brand’s founder.
The car got everything the enthusiast wanted. The XKR 100 had every available option, an anthracite-coloured paint, Recaro seats, 20-inch BBS alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, dark wood dashboard panels and GPS. The GPS won’t get you to your destination 21 years later, which is perfect. Endless enjoyment and you’ll see where you end up.
Under the hood is the 4.2-litre, supercharged V8. The right improvements have been made there too. All engines were fitted with improved metal chain tensioners and water pumps, solving the common engine failures caused by plastic weakness.
Can it get any better? Yes, definitely! In fact, the car rolled off the assembly line in 2002 in a limited edition of 500 and this example has been immaculately maintained. So if you are looking for a youngtimer that is in perfect shape under the hood as well as externally, now is the time to treat yourself to a Cool Classic! Will we see you soon? (For those who prefer to drive a convertible we also have the exact specimen as a convertible at the time of writing).
– Different in every detail. Yet every inch a Jaguar –
