Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Cabrio
Specifications
A formally harmonious product needs no decoration; it should be elevated through pure form. – Ferdinand Porsche
Technically, the Porsche is in absolute top condition. Besides the condition of the 911, every ‘enthusiast’ option has been ticked, including the G50 gearbox. The G50 gearbox was a technical tour de force from Porsche that made shifting gears a lot easier and faster. Besides the very popular G50 manual gearbox, this 3.2 Carrera also has the Porsche 930 Turbo seats from the factory. Due to the improved seating position, this 911 is also suitable for longer journeys.
For the first time since 1977, the name Carrera was revived in 1983 as a successor to the successful SC series. In the last “911” (after this it became the 964) the entire electronics, brakes and chassis were modified. Apart from this improvement, the engine was enlarged to a 3.2 litre with 219 HP. The 3.2 Carrera model of the 911 series was produced from 1983 to 1989.
Ours has a razor-sharp G50 gearbox, and really drives like a Porsche should. A matching-numbers car that was delivered in the rare ‘Leinengrau’, which is a really cool eighties colour. Originally the car was delivered in the USA, and in the Netherlands it was always pampered by Porsche specialist Visser, with a neatly stamped booklet as a result. Do you want a classic Porsche to drive up and down to Stüttgart for lunch? Just so! Coming soon?
