The story behind this collectible...

In 1968, the "iconically stubborn brand" Saab presented the successor to the 96; the 99. A completely redesigned car compared to its predecessor. The 99 was powered by a 1.7-liter four-in-line engine developed by Triumph.

Saab was - and still is - known for its safety. The 99 was the first car with a compressible steering column, a body with crumple zones and the well-known ignition lock in the center tunnel. Another fun fact; The bodywork of the 99 was so strong that it did not even require a roll cage for homologation in rally racing!

Our Saab 99 is an original Swedish delivered car and comes with a full history. Beyond the usual original booklets and invoices, we have the delivery documents and necessary magazine articles on this particular car. This 99 is certainly not modest in recognition of its condition and history; it has won multiple awards. All owners (3) are known. The 99 is in concours condition. We dare to say that it is the most beautiful Saab 99!
